David designed his own cold air intake for KurTwo by enlarging the existing cutout in the fenderwell and making a cold air plenum to enclose the air flow meter and K&N style air filter. A custom mount was also fabricated to secure the air flow meter within the plenum area. Along with the cold air intake, there are also some pictures of a turbo inlet adapter and also some reinforcements for jacking points under the car.

Below are photos of jacking/jack stand points installed on the front subframe.
One thing about the Merkur XR4Ti that has always bothered me is the lack of a
good
place to jack the car up and then be able to place it on jack stands. The
subframes are the first choice to place the jack, but they will bend fairly
easy
when subjected to jacking loads. I designed .25" thick aluminum plates
that
follow the contour of the subrame. All sealer and undercoating in the
area
where the plates mount was removed and the plates attached via rivnuts
inserted into the subframe and then secured with flat head screws. Auto
body
seam sealer was applied between the plates and subframe when installed.
The plate on the drivers side has a Cliff Walton inspired feature that protects
the fuel and brake lines from being smashed in the event the jack or jack
stand
slip.
